Founded in 1963 the Mainliners are the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society - an association of men of all ages who love to sing in the barbershop style.

We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization based in metropolitan Philadelphia dedicated to preserving this unique American musical style for generations to come.

Whether you need just a quartet or the entire chorus, we can tailor a program to meet the needs of your event.

Our Society

Established in 1938 as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), we decided that that was too difficult to remember or pronounce, so we just shortened that to the Barbershop Harmony Society.
